Hatice joined the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic as a Rowling Clinical Fellow in February 2020. She also is a part of National Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease Research and Surveillance Unit clinical team as part of her clinical fellowship which will allow her to experience and undertake clinical neurological research. 

Hatice received her medical degree and training in neurology from Istanbul University, completing both with distinction. As a neurology trainee, she visited several leading laboratory and clinical research groups in the field that consolidated her understanding of cognitive neurological disorders, and obtained her the title of Fellow of the European Board of Neurology in 2017. Upon receiving her neurology specialist degree in 2018, she was awarded a research fellowship by the European Academy of Neurology. Prior to joining the Clinic, she was a research fellow at the UK Dementia Research Insititute at the University of Edinburgh.
